Local Business Signals That Matter
For a business tied to a specific city or region, a few extra signals carry outsized weight:
- Consistent NAP — your Name, Address, and Phone number should match exactly across your website, Google Business Profile, and any directory listings. Inconsistency actively confuses both search indexes and AI retrieval.
- An active Google Business Profile — still one of the single strongest local signals available, and frequently pulled directly into AI answers about "businesses near me" type queries.
